Wet Dreams and Other Delights
We released our second EP on March 26th (last Friday). It's called
Wet Dreams and Other Delights, and includes Nocturnal Emissions from
Crapital Punishment, as well as re-recorded and re-mixed versions of DWI, Condemn Nation, and Eulogy. It also includes radio edits of Nocturnal Emissions and Condemn Nation, although we didn't even attempt to clean up Eulogy. It just can't be done.
These beautifully produced and printed CDs are available at shows for a mere pittance of $2 each. At that price, you should get one for each member of your family! Nothing says love like a song about wet dreams.
Radio Appearance, April 1st
You've been hearing about this radio appearance for over a month now, and I swear I think it's all worked out, despite the ominous fact that it's scheduled for April Fools' Day. Regardless, Justin, Ramon, and myself WILL be going to the
WGLS studio on Thursday night at 9 PM. We'll be performing a couple acoustic numbers and giving a brief interview. If you live in the South Jersey area, you can tune in to 89.7 FM. If not, you can hit their website and stream it live over the Internet. You will need Real Player to listen to WGLS online. Also, call in to 856-863-WGLS to request Max the Dork songs. It's been a while since we've been at WGLS, and it should be fun.
Gish Theme Song
Well, here's the thing. Ed from
This Is A Cry For Help is a fan of ours, and we're a fan of his. So much so that we wrote a song about him called "Ode to Ed" (otherwise known as the Dead Baby song). He liked Ode to Ed (and who wouldn't like a song about themselves?) so much that he asked if we could write a theme song to an upcoming video game he's working on, called Cereus Peashy. Well we did that, and he loved that also.
But he's working on a much bigger and better game than Cereus Peashy at the moment. So big in fact that it's in the top 10 finalists for this year's Independent Gaming Festival. And again, he asked us to pen a theme song for him. We did. He didn't like it. He said it was much too slow. Well the thing is, this game, titled Gish, is about a ball of tar that rolls and crawls through the sewers to find its girlfriend who has been abducted by the big boss, whomever that is. Anyway, I had this theme in mind and I was having a hard time re-writing it. I couldn't just speed up the original, it didn't sound right. So I FINALLY got the new version done, and with a few rehearsals, and some crash-course learning of the song, we banged out a recording yesterday and sent it to the man.
He loved it.
Ed's gonna be adding this theme song to the beginning of the game, and he's going to be creating a trailer for the game using the theme song. Best of all, this means some exposure to an enormous annual gaming festival for US. So it's like, WOW.
As soon as the trailer is put together and I have a copy, you'll see it on our
Videos Page, and at that time I'll also upload the theme song to our
Downloads Page.
Speaking of Which
I'm gonna be re-doing the Downloads page in the next couple of days. Right now it's a mess. I'm probably going to split it up into three pages, one for audio downloads, one for the Buddy icons, and one for the wallpaper and winamp skins and stuff. Plus, I'm going to be sectioning the audio files into Interviews, Cover Songs, Live Performances, and Unreleased Recordings. Something like that. Anyway, it needs to be done, because the page is really hard to read as it is.
