I wrote this song in homage to a great man named Edmund McMillen, AKA Ed. Ed runs a website called "This is a Cry for Help," which showcases his artistic talents, his terrific sense of humor, and his all around love for life. I tried to capture the essence of all of this in this song, and I could have made it fifteen verses long and still never fully touched on it. But Ed seemed to like it; he deemed it the first official song for Cry for Help.Dead babies, old people, and serial killers are only the tip of the CFH iceberg. Suffice it to say that Ed's skewed sense of humor gets him loads of hatEmail, which he summarily posts on his site for the world to see. And anyone who has been witness to his prank calls on the radio knows just how deep this twisted psyche runs. I couldn't possibly hope to encompass all that is Ed in three short verses, but I tried my best. And I also know that no matter how offensive the song may seem to some, at least I got to write the first official CFH song. After all, just giving thanks to Ed and the CFH community in the NTID CD just didn't seem like enough.
